Love is like a Roller Coaster

Love is like a roller coaster
As crazy as it sounds
It has twists and turns, dips and dives,
As well as ups and downs.

You start off being prepared
With your seat belt and safety bar
You feel as if the sky's the limit
As you sit in your car.

You barely know what lies ahead
But when you think you are ready,
Things get a nice simple start
As you climb the hill, smooth and steady.

Up and up and up you go
As you wonder "where's the top?"
You might get scared and want to turn back,
But there's no time to stop.

But it get's better: you've reached a plataeu
And start to enjoy the view
The feeling of being so high in life
Starts to get the best of you...

The car tilts forward, ever so slowly,
As it creeps down the steel bar wall
Suddenly, you're scared as hell,
As you start to fall.

You feel weightless now, only for a moment,
As the car enters the dive
Whatever happened to that high point
When you felt so alive?

You're down at the level, your head is shaking
As you enter the curves and turns
You are painfully forced left to right
As the feeling in your heart burns.

Before you know it, you know what's comming,
As you go around the last bend
The ride comes to a complete stop
As it reaches the end.

Pretty soon, you get up to go
And you notice while you departed
That the ride has just brought you back
To where you had first started.

But alas, you look at it every now and again
As this is the main thing on your mind
That burning thought forever remains...
--Just maybe one more time?
